Spanish Wine & Barrafina Drop-In
‘Drop-In’ on the 17th of September from 6pm, for an unticketed Spanish night with special guests from our sister restaurant, Barrafina. Executive Chef Angel Zapata Martin, and Head Chef of Dean Street, Fernando Moraga, will join The Drop’s Karan Ghosh for one night only. Together, they’ll serve an Arroz Valenciana with rabbit, chicken and garrofóns (butter beans); as well as Spanish cheeses and Iberian cured meats; grilled summer vegetables and Pintxos Morunos, or beef skewers; and Tortilla de Vetanzos.
We’ll feature some of our favourite Spanish wines from The Drop’s current list, like the Cora Blanco from Loxarel, an organic, vegan white with hints of lychees and a dry mineral clarity; and the Bodegas Caballal, an easy-drinking biodynamic mencia and garnacha blend from Rías Baixas. There will also be a few wines usually reserved for Barrafina’s list, such as the lively and effervescent Txakoli Ameztoi; and the Las Fincas Chivite rosé from Navarra. And, two brilliant Hart Bros bottles; a new vintage garnacha Tinto from D.O. Madrid, and a bright Albariño from Rías Baixas. These and more, available to try by the glass or bottle. ¡Salud!
